Roger Chaplin, CPA, CA MA (OXON)
Roger studied history at Oxford University before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1977 (UK) and again in 1981 (Canada).
Roger established Chaplin & Co in 1991 after 9 years with Peat Marwick (now KPMG) and 5 years with Laventhol & Horwath (now PwC), with the aim of bringing his big firm experience to small and mid-sized clients, not-for-profits and charities.

Matthew Chaplin CPA, CA
Matthew joined Chaplin & Co in 2018 as a Senior Manager. Prior to joining, Matthew spent 2 years with a mid-size real estate development firm and 10 years with PwC both in Canada and England.
Matthew provides clients with a hands-on approach to meet their needs. He manages and conducts engagements with clients in real estate, owner-managed businesses, nursing homes, and not-for-profit organizations.

Assurance and Accounting
Chris Chan CPA, CA
Chris is a Senior Manager that provides audit, accounting, and taxation services to a broad range of medium-sized and entrepreneurial clients and not-for-profit organizations. These services include preparing compilation and review engagements, audits and personal and corporate income tax returns.
Prior to joining Chaplin & Co., Chris spent 4 years with Deloitte Canada providing internal audit and compliance review services and 2 years with Grant Thornton providing audit and assurance services.
Chris has been the lead auditor on numerous external and internal audit engagements and the main point of contact with key client personnel. Chris holds the Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) designation and has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration.

Anna Luo
Anna, who has a Master of Management and Professional Accounting degree from the University of Toronto and Bachelor of Management from Guangzhou University, passed the Chartered Professional Accountants’ Common Final Exam (CFE) in 2017. Anna joined us after working with a number of public accounting firms in Canada and China.
Ola Kehinde
Ola, who obtained his Bachelor of Honours in Accounting from Brandon University, has worked with BDO Canada and Crowe Soberman LLP, joined us a Senior Accountant in December 2023. He is presently enrolled in the CPA articling programme.

Arshia Golesorkhi
Arshia, who has joined us in January 2024 as a student-in-accounts for the tax season, is a in the third year of the Business and Computer Science programme at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Claudia LaPorta
Claudia is one of our QuickBooks® specialists.
She works closely with our clients, offering bookkeeping and payroll services for companies ranging from 1 to over 100 employees.
Victoria Rymar
Victoria is our Administrative and Accounting Assistant.
She is also one of our QuickBooks® experts.
Graham Hawes
Graham provides book-keeping services for a number of our clients with a particular emphasis on keeping track of investments in securities in QuickBooks®.
Graham has his own book-keeping practice and acts as the financial controller for a number of our clients, including a digital printing company and a number of charitable and not-for-profit organizations.
